Future ground-based, balloon-borne and space-based instruments such as the Simons Observatory, CMB-S4, CCAT, Toltec, EXCLAIM, TIM, PRIMA and FIRSST will provide a large increase in survey mapping speed compared to previous instruments and produce a corresponding increase in scientific data through developments in the technology for large format superconducting detector arrays and readout electronics. I will give an overview of the technology development and examples of key science capabilities from these new surveys.
