Executive Summary
This paper investigates the field-reversed theta-pinch (FRTP) formation process of field-reversed configurations (FRCs) on the HFRC-F experimental device at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Initial experimental results demonstrate typical plasma parameters, including a plasma density of 4 × 10²⁰ m⁻³ and a lifetime of 75 μs. The findings reveal that an appropriate pre-ionization voltage enhances initial frozen magnetic flux to extend plasma lifetime, while increasing the main magnetic field voltage significantly enhances the final plasma density.
