LANL LDRD Reconnection Experiment Search (1)

This report assesses a 2014 Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) project led by Dr. Glen A. Wurden and Dr. Hui Li that investigated 3D turbulent magnetic reconnection in laboratory Field-Reversed Configuration (FRC) plasmas. The analysis concludes that the project served as a strategic, non-public bridge between experimental fusion research and theoretical modeling to validate mechanisms for rapid energy release in high-beta plasmas.
