Rauscher (1937-2019) was an American physicist and parapsychologist. Rauscher attended the University of California, Berkeley for her Masters and PhD in nuclear physics. She was a former researcher with the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, the Stanford Research Institute, and NASA. Rauscher was President of Tecnic Research Laboratories from 1979-1988 and Tecnic Research Laboratory of Apache Junction, AZ from 1988-2004. Rauscher was a professor of physics and general science at John F. Kennedy University from 1978-1984 and professor and graduate student adviser in the department of physics at the University of Nevada, Reno from 1990–1998. Rauscher co-founded the Berkeley Fundamental Fysiks Group, an informal group of physicists who met weekly to discuss quantum mysticism and the philosophy of quantum physics. Rauscher had an interest in psychic healing, faith healing, exploring altered states of consciousness, and developing links between Eastern philosophy and quantum physics. Her contributions to parapsychology involve developing a theory of multidimensional geometry to explain remote viewing experiences. She was part of the initiation of the Psychotronics Association, a group of academics seeking to unify metaphysics and physics. Acquisition information: Gift of Elizabeth A. Rauscher, November, 2012. The Elizabeth Rauscher digital files were received on 2 optical disks. The files were scanned for viruses using Malwarebytes.
