A fusion research program at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (1956–1973). It attempted to create a closed magnetic field ("bottle") using a high-current ring of relativistic electrons. While it did not achieve full field reversal, it established the concept of the Compact Torus, the direct ancestor of the propulsion system in this investigation.
