ASSESSMENT: Avi Loeb is the HARVARD ASTRONOMER who recovered ~850 spherules from the IM1 interstellar meteor site — 5 showing 'distinct extra-solar abundance pattern' with 'excess of Be, La, U by up to three orders of magnitude.' Department of Astronomy, Harvard University. Head of Galileo Project. IM1 (CNEOS 2014 January 8): US government satellite detected 3 atmospheric detonations ~84 km north of Manus Island, Papua New Guinea. Interstellar: 'arrival velocity >45 km/s, vector tracked back outside plane of ecliptic.' Broke apart at 'unusually low altitude of 17 km.' 'Substantially stronger than any of other 272 objects in CNEOS catalog, including iron meteorites.' ~500 kg material ablated. Confirmed interstellar by US Space Command. JUNE 14-28, 2023 EXPEDITION: Towed-magnetic-sled survey. Seafloor depths 1.5-2.2 km. ~0.26 km² sampled. ~850 spherules (0.05-1.3 mm). Analyzed by micro-XRF, Electron Probe Microanalyzer, ICP Mass spectrometry. RESULTS: 78% primitive, 22% D-type (planetary igneous differentiation, 'all different from previously described spherules'). 5 spherules: 'distinct extra-solar abundance pattern.' 'Excess of Be, La, U by up to three orders of magnitude relative to solar system standard of CI chondrites.' 'Composition pattern distinctly different from coal fly ash.' 'Significantly concentrated along expected meteor path.' GALILEO PROJECT: Harvard-based scientific UAP research. Multi-institutional team (Harvard, UC Berkeley, PNG Univ Technology, NRCN Israel).
