Ken Shoulders

Shoulders worked at SRI International (1958-1968) where he participated in CIA-sponsored remote viewing research. He moved to Austin, TX in the 1980s to work at Jupiter Technologies as Chief Inventor, funded by George W. Church Jr. He collaborated with Hal Puthoff at EarthTech International. Shoulders met Winston Bostick at the 22nd APS DPP Annual Meeting (November 10, 1980, San Diego), where Bostick interested him in vortex filaments — directly inspiring his EVO work. His patent US5018180A (1991) 'Energy conversion using high charge density' describes the production and manipulation of 'Electrum Validum' (EV) and cites zero-point energy as a potential source. The patent explicitly cites Nardi, Bostick, Feugeas & Prior (1980). Nachamkin's 1992 Phillips Lab paper cites 'results reported by Puthoff and Shoulders.' Davis's 2003 AFRL Ball Lightning Study (Section 5.3) describes an EV experiment based on Shoulders' apparatus. Shoulders' 1987 book 'EV: A Tale of Discovery' (246 pages) describes his research, including the Bostick meeting. His papers are archived at the Science History Institute in Philadelphia (37.8 linear feet, 27 boxes, some materials restricted until 2065).
