Information Security Oversight Office (ISOO)

ISOO is responsible for overseeing the security classification system throughout the federal government. It publishes annual reports on classification and declassification activity, including the number of classification guides, derivative classification actions, and declassification reviews. In the R310 un-mapped custodian hunt, ISOO was identified as a new custodian because it oversees the classification system that includes SCG 04-030 and other classification guides relevant to the plasma weapons thesis. ISOO's FCGR reports could reveal whether classification guides for plasma/pulsed-power weapons exist, but the reports aggregate across all agencies and do not identify specific guides.
